Q. What is of interest near to the apartments?
A. The apartments are located by Edinburgh Castle in the historic Old Town area of the city centre. Surrounding and within 100 metres of the apartments are the famous streets of the Royal Mile, Castlehill, Lawnmarket and Grassmarket, all steeped in history and intrigue each having many attractions, historic buildings, museums and places of interest. The Camera Obscura, Scotch Whisky Experience, The Hub, Edinburgh Old Town Weaving Centre, Writers Museum, Gladstones Land, Scottish Genealogy Society to name but a few are within metres of the apartments.
Q. Rather than eating in the apartment are there any restaurants nearby?
A. The Apartments are fortunate to be close to a wide choice of eating establishments including world renown restaurants, family restaurants, bars and cafes offering a wide choice of menus plus world cuisines.
Q. How do I travel between the apartment and Edinburgh Airport?
A. Edinburgh airport is about 11 kilometres from Johnston Terrace in the city centre. Many taxis are readily available at the airport and in Johnston Terrace and there are dedicated Airport buses continually taking travellers into and from the Waverley Bridge Airport Bus terminal in the City centre.
Q. How do I get from the Railway Station / Airport Bus Terminal to the apartment?
A. Edinburgh Waverley Railway Station and the Waverley Bridge Airport bus terminal are located beside each other and are within a short walking distance of the apartments. That walk is in the main uphill and can be tiring. To those unaccustomed to walking inclines or guests travelling with children or heavy luggage then I would suggest that they take a taxi to the apartment.
Q. Do I need a car to get about in Edinburgh?
A. Surprisingly a car is not required, the apartments are within walking distance of the majority of city centre attractions, places of interest and special event locations and both driving and parking a car in the city centre can be problematic. There are good public bus and city bus tour services available to reach other attractions / places of interest / destinations both in and outwith the City. Alternatively there are normally numerous taxis available in and around the apartments should they be required.
Q. Can I smoke in the apartment or bring my pet?
A. For the convenience of all our guests and future guests no smoking and no pets are allowed in the apartments.

A. If at anytime prior to your arrival, during your stay or after your departure you have any questions or require assistance then please contact me and I will try to provide the personal attention you need.
Q. Is there a grocery / convenience store nearby for daily essentials?
A. In the Grassmarket located below Johnston Terrace there is a small convenience store which can normally supply any daily essentials required. On Princes Street, which is a five / ten minute walk away there are the Marks and Spencers and Jenners foodhalls and near there, are Tesco and Sainsburys mini stores.
